Louisville Tourism’s annual Recognition of Service Excellence Awards are returning in November — and you’re invited to the celebration.

This annual gala, set to be held on November 20 at the Louisville Palace, honors tourism and hospitality employees who have enhanced a visitor’s experience in Derby City.

Attendees have an opportunity to reflect on the previous years’ successes and look toward future accomplishments.

Nomination criteria can include extraordinary leadership skills, reacting positively to an urgent situation, or exceptionally contributing to a team project.

🌟 Spotlighting a standout leader

Think you know someone who fits the bill? Nominations are open now through Tuesday, Sept. 10 at midnight.

Nominators are asked to provide specific examples of why this hospitality employee is outstanding in their job performance and how they project a positive image of their company and our city.

Those who demonstrate extraordinary leadership skills, inspire others, or contribute exceptionally to a team-oriented community project are eligible for an award.

Heads up: Finalists will be notified in writing by Sunday, Sept. 18 and receive a golden ticket keepsake plus two complimentary tickets. Take a peek at last year’s winners.

Kicking off with a registration and cocktail hour from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., guests can expect an exclusive evening chock-full of programming, including:

  • Bar service and hors d’oeuvres
  • Photo opportunities

Awards are presented at 6:30 p.m. and followed by an after-party celebration with live entertainment from local band Best Kept Secret.
