The Louisville Ballet’s current season is nearing its end, and that means it’s time to look ahead to the 2026-2027 lineup. Here’s a brief look at what the Ballet has in store for us:

  • “Hamlet + Ophelia” — This classic tragedy will be performed in Central Park as part of this summer’s Shakespeare in the Park festival on Wednesday, Aug. 5-Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026.
  • “Frankenstein” — Last year was Dracula, this year’s Halloween show will be an adaptation of Mary Shelley’s gothic novel. It’ll play over Halloween weekend, Friday Oct. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026.
  • “Carmen” — This reimagining of the classic story places Carmen as a Las Vegas showgirl under neon lights and velvet curtains. It hits the stage Friday, Feb. 12 and Saturday, Feb. 13, 2027.
