Eat

Eating a corn dog in the sweltering heat by the ferris wheel is a fair tradition, but why stop there? Take a tour of all the KY State Fair favorites like the #MustTry donut burger, lobster mac and cheese + deep-fried Hot Brown on a stick. Don’t forget, no fair meal would be complete without a lemon shake-up and pineapple whip.

DYK: Over 40,000 BBQ pork chop sandwiches are made throughout the duration of the fair.

Ride

The Rock-O-Plane in Thrill Ville will satisfy any adrenaline junky. The ride features self-rocking seats that allow you to control the intensity of the ride as you rotate. We recommend riding this before having that donut burger.

Thrill Ville opens at 3 p.m. Monday through Friday + 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Unlimited ride wristbands are $25 in advance at Kroger + $30 at the gate.

See

Saddle up, Genuwine hits the stage tonight. The multiple double-platinum R&B artist starts at 8 p.m. with special guest Color Me Badd. The concert is located in parking lot L + is free with state fair admission. Check out the other artists playing the daily concert series here.

Learn

The Gourmet Garden located in South Wing A features cooking competitions + demonstrations by local chefs, caterers, and bakers. Buzz over on Saturday at 11 a.m. + learn about the importance of honey bees in KY with the 2021 American Honey Queen, Jennifer Hinkel.

#ProTip: Buy state fair admission tickets in advance and get free parking.
