There’s bourbon and horses, and then there’s burgoo.

The 2nd Annual Burgoo Bash Cook-off is this Saturday, March 18 and will feature the best amateur and professional burgoo makers around.

Competitors will showcase this unique Kentucky stew in their own way, competing for Most Creative Recipe and People’s Choice, with celebrity judges choosing Best In Show.

Winners will walk away with trophies, gift certificates and more — but most importantly, bragging rights.

Ready to taste the best burgoo blends in the Bluegrass? A $10 ticket gets you samples from all participants, plus a People’s Choice vote. For $15, you can also enjoy an Against The Grain brew with your burgoo. Either way, proceeds will benefit APRON Inc., a nonprofit that supports service industry folks in need.
