The biggest day in vinyl is about to spin up this Saturday, April 18.

For almost 20 years, Record Store Day (RSD) has been a celebration of independent record stores, the artists who make the music, and the fans who collect it.

Here’s how you can celebrate Record Store Day in LOU this year:

Better Days Records | This Barret Avenue shop will open at 8 a.m. to get the party started bright and early. Stop by for exclusive releases, plus live music throughout the day. Owner Ben Jones will also be selling items from his personal collection.

Guest Room Records | Both the Frankfort Avenue and Bardstown Road locations will open their doors at 9 a.m. People usually start lining up the night before, so be ready to wait in line. The two shops are not sharing inventory, so there’s twice as much to go around.

In addition to the special Record Store Day releases, all non-RSD merchandise will be 10% off, and the shop will be adding a big new drop of used vinyl to its collection. As if that’s not enough, unsold RSD releases will be available online starting at 8 a.m. this Sunday, April 19.
