Nashville coffee shop opening in Louisville, KY

It will be its first location outside of Tennessee.

A new-to-market coffee shop out of Nashville is opening its first location outside of Tennessee in Derby City and we’re more hyped than a double shot of espresso.

Barista Parlor will be opening downtown in the 29-story 500W tower — which has been undergoing a $16 million renovation over the past year by SomeraRoad. 500W, formerly known as the PNC Plaza, will welcome the trendy coffee shop in the lobby of the new, two-story atrium facing Jefferson Street.

Barista Parlor plans to serve the same favorites from its menu in Nashville.

According to a post by the shop, the indoor and outdoor spaces will look and flow like its three other locations throughout Nashville, so expect bright colors, funky lights, exotic houseplants, vinyl records, and lots of natural light + a few unique design features.

It also plans to serve the same coffee, specialty drinks, food, and merch. Here’s a glance at its current menu + what we can look forward to:

  • Drip, pour over, and iced coffee
  • Specialty espresso drinks like its Honey Lavender latte
  • Elixirs including CBD + oat milk superfood drinks
  • 10+ tea varieties — we’ve got our eye on you, Patagonia Wild Guava
  • Breakfast eats like biscuit sandwiches, burritos, bagels + toasts

Established in 2011, Barista Parlor sources its coffee from environmentally responsible farms and serves it in a space where commerce and art intersect. It plans to open later this year.

Want to catch the Barista Parlor buzz early? Order a bag of beans or sign up for a coffee subscription.

Barista Parlor is also currently hiring for all positions. Send your resume.

Bonus: Our sister market NASHtoday is no stranger to Barista Parlor. City Editor Skylar says the Iced Whiskey Carmel is her go-to.
