Sons of the American Revolution Library | This national organization is headquartered right here in Louisville, and its massive genealogical library is housed here as well. Members get free access, but non-members can use the library’s resources for a fee of $5.
The Filson Historical Society | If your family history in Louisville goes back several generations, The Filson may have documents that are useful in your research, including yearbooks, censuses, and Louisville city directories.
Louisville Geneaological Society | In addition to online databases + information on best research practices, the LGS offers seminars to help your research skills. The spring
ROOTS 101 Family Legacy Center | This new service by the downtown museum is one of several places around town to access a database called FamilySearch. You can sign up online for a 30-minute free session.
LFPL | Library cardholders can access historical maps and other documents to help piece together the puzzle.
