There’s always a boatload of things to do in Derby City, but that’ll be especially true this week.

The Louisville Boat, RV & Sportshow is set to take place at the Kentucky Exposition Center from Wednesday, Jan. 24 to Sunday, Jan. 28. The show will feature new boat models on display, plus recreational equipment and on-water accessories.

Here are three things to do at the show:

  • Boat Safety Course | Get certified to operate a motorboat in this free class from the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife. Register for a spot on Jan. 26 or 27.
  • Paddle Boat Demo | Get in the water and try out a kayak or paddle board, no experience needed.
  • Life Jacket Loaner Program | Donate a used life jacket to a program that loans them throughout the year to promote water safety.

Admission is $14, though children 12 and under get in free.
