We’re on a roll. A sushi roll that is… Which is why we picked 10 local sushi spots to satisfy your appetite for nigiri, sashimi, maki sushi + more.

With many Louisville sushi establishments boasting rolls that flaunt the character + charm of the city’s many neighborhoods, stopping in for a bite at any one of these restaurants is both a culinary adventure and a satisfying local meal.

Daisuki Sushi, 1001 Logan St.

  • This sushi restaurant is incredibly convenient with grab-and-go choices + is located inside Logan Street Market. Try out a one-of-a-kind crispy sushi taco or sushi in the shape of a donut.

Wild Ginger, 1700 Bardstown Rd.

  • Located in the bustling heart of the Highlands, Wild Ginger offers a unique twist on authentic Japanese cuisine. We suggest trying the Thunder Roll for some tastebud fireworks.

Dragon King’s Daughter, 1126 Bardstown Rd.

  • A favorite of ours, the Black Widow roll + Hoosier Momma roll tied in last year’s DKD Run for the Rolls — the restaurant’s Derby for sushi. It even offers an Oreo roll for dessert.

Sapporo Japanese Grill & Sushi, 1706 Bardstown Rd.

  • After undergoing an upgrade, this restaurant now boasts a new sushi bar, fixtures + an expanded kitchen that make for an upscale environment. Check out the popular Top Secret roll which comes wrapped in tinfoil that is on fire.

Osaka Japanese, 2039 Frankfort Ave.

  • Tucked away in a quiet part of Frankfort Avenue, this affordable sushi restaurant has a calming, cozy atmosphere. We recommend the Frankfort roll, which is a spicy deep-fried roll made with flying fish roe + minced yellowtail.

Oishii Sushi, 2810 Taylorsville Rd.

  • This restaurant offers affordable dine-in and takeout + is nestled right across from Bowman Field. Try out the UK or Cardinal roll to support your team while you eat sushi.

Sakura Blue, 4600 Shelbyville Rd.

  • This affordable restaurant offers multiple sushi menus including one dedicated specifically to deep-fried rolls. Pro Tip: Get the Bento Box lunch special and try a little bit of everything if you can’t decide on what to have for lunch.

Juno Japanese Restaurant, 5406 Antle Dr. + 4110 Hampton Lake Way

  • This fun menu has eclectic rolls named after famous songs + movies like, “The God Father” and “Hotel California.” The restaurant also offers hibachi dishes and quaint appetizers like steak maki.

Togo Sushi, 700 Lyndon Ln

  • Drive-thru sushi? Yep, that’s a thing. Not only does this place offer convenient service, its rolls are also huge. We recommend the Lyndon roll that has crab and cream cheese inside + is topped with strawberries and walnuts.

Sushi Master, 9415 Norton Commons Blvd.

  • Located in the heart of Norton Commons, this restaurant has a charmingly cozy environment. We recommend the 007 roll that has spicy crab, tempura shrimp + is topped with a lime slice.
