Speaking of downtown openings, Capacity Contemporary Exchange — a new art gallery founded by artist Casey Dressell — is now open at 641 W. Main St. across from 21c Museum Hotel.

The shop offers artisan goods from Ohio Valley makers and beyond + a gallery space that will exhibit the works of multiple artists throughout the year. Currently on display is the mixed-media “Interlaced: A Selection of New Work by Kat Cox,” who serves as an assistant professor of ceramics and fibers at the Hite Institute at UofL .

Capacity Contemporary Exchange looks to host 5-6 gallery exhibitions a year.
