You can’t spell “Louisville” without L-O-V-E and that’s why we’re laying it on thick this Valentine’s Day.

Last week we asked you to spill your terms of endearment beans + share the reasons why you love LOUand the responses almost made us cry.

City Editor Katie has a whole lot of love for River City’s service industry and appreciates everyone who makes the hospitality world go round.

For City Editor Sarah, her heart beats for all the loved ones she has that live here + all the memories she’s had with them growing up in this city.

Read on for more love letters to LOU.

“I love Louisville because Louisville is the perfect blend of sophistication and weirdness. One day you can dress to the nines and attend a fabulous gala. The next day, you can put on your favorite band shirt and head to the Mag Bar to see a local punk band. Louisville has something for everyone.” — Sarah P.

“Love the history mixed with new age vibes.” — @nulu_black_and_white

“Louisville has all the features of a big city — arts, entertainment, sports, parks, food (really, really good food) with the slower-paced, friendlier feel of a small hometown.” — Dana H.

“The affordability, the fun events, the food scene, but mostly it’s the people!” — Adrianne S.

“It’s definitely the brewery. You know, Against the Grain. It’s like a good rug. It just ties everything together!” — Sam C.

“It’s fast growing and an exciting time to be here.” — Adam Z.

“It’s an eclectic city — good location, great people, and awesome food.” — @georgia_the_explorer_ky

“Some of my favorite people live there!” — Natalie S.

“I love Louisville for the culture and diversity that is present here! I love all of the cultures you’re exposed to here and all of the things you’re able to experience through exploring our city. It makes me feel lucky and proud to call Louisville home.” — Brittany B., LOUtoday Intern
