Frazier Museum releasing $1,978 1978 NCAA bourbon

And there’s only 1,978 bottles of it.

Three of the championship players have signed every bottle.

A new bourbon is honoring the Kentucky Wildcats and their 1978 NCAA Basketball Championship.

Meet 78 Legends, a limited-edition blend of Kentucky 5-year and 50-year bourbon whiskeys. Only 1,978 bottles will be made — each one costing $1,978. The price tag also includes admission to the 78 Legends Release Party at the Frazier History Museum on Thursday, Feb. 2 — now that’s a slam dunk.

A perk of buying a bottle: it will be signed by Jack “Goose” Givens, Rick Robey, and Kyle Macy, three of the championship players. The players will also be at the release party to discuss their winning season with host Dan Issel.

Grab tickets and reserve your bottle for the February event.
