Today is our third birthday here at LOUtoday — how time flies.

To celebrate, we’ve rounded up three of our favorite stories from the past; one each from City Editors Declan + Jeff and one from former City Editor Katie Molck — we’ve missed you, Katie.

Polar bear-able

“While celebrity encounters are great cocktail party stories, our story about Heine Brothers barista Adam Hill embodies everything I think LOUtoday stands for. After a reader shared Hill’s mission to sell 1,000 cups of milk, we had to make sure we were part of Louisville’s legen-dairy history in the making. Which reminds me, I wonder what Hill is up to these days?” — Katie M.

Bonus: Okay, we just couldn’t help ourselves, we’ve got one more. Our Sales Executive Mandey Lee’s favorite LOUtoday story is about famous hometown dogs, which included her late dog Dew and his adventures that racked up 53,000 followers on Facebook.
