In his State of the City address, Mayor Craig Greenberg unveiled new renderings of a proposed renovation to the Belvedere — no, a UFO didn’t land on I-64.

Greenberg did not offer any further details about a construction timeline.

Greenberg also announced that Layla George will be leading the future of the Belvedere as the Project Executive. George previously worked as the President and CEO of the Olmsted Parks Conservancy, where she served from 2018 to 2024, as well as Director of Development for Louisville Public Media.
