The Myriad Hotel , a 65-room boutique hotel, is opening in the former Baxter Avenue disco ball factory — which spun out about 90% of the mirrored globes in the 1970s.
The new Highlands accommodation at 900 Baxter Ave. is the latest project from Kentucky-based hospitality group Common Bond Hotel Collection and is expected to open this August.
Here’s a look at The Myriad Hotel’s amenities.
Rooms
Guests can choose between 15 different room styles, including a 10-person bunk suite equipped with two sets of queen-sized bunk beds. While renovations are still underway, bookings are open and start at $199 per night.
The Myriad Swim Club
Located in the center of the hotel, this outdoor lounge pool has cabanas, a poolside bar, and a tanning deck. Plus, you don’t have to be a guest to take a dip. Day passes will be available for non-hotel guests, too.
Restaurants + bars
The Myriad will have a 154-seat, Southern Europe-inspired restaurant called Paseo — which opens on Wednesday, June 21. Led by local chefs Jeremy Frederiksen and Mike Wajda, the menu has dishes like chorizo octopus, paella, and mojo rojo skirt steak.
Switchboard will be a separate, smaller operation offering coffee drinks and pastries during the day and cocktails and bar bites at night.
Private events
Three spaces will be available to rent for private parties, receptions, and more. Bar Keep is Paseo’s private dining room that can accommodate 30 people + you can also book two different spaces within the Myriad Swim Club.
