What began as a Kickstarter campaign for a stylized deck of playing cards grew into a full-blown online business — and now, Misc. Goods Co. has a brick-and-mortar store.

Owned by Tyler Deeb, a freelance designer-turned-entrepreneur, Misc. Goods Co. offers a variety of products that are all united by one thing: solid design .

Tyler’s wares include handcrafted leather goods, natural deodorant, ceramic flasks, cologne, and of course, the playing cards that started it all.

The new Shelby Park shop — which underwent renovations for over a year — is set in a former shotgun house at 1133 S. Shelby St. The showroom is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The new space also includes meeting and work spaces + a packing and shipping area for the company.

Customers are welcome to shop online any time, too.
