Coming soon: what not to miss in 2024

As Louisville continues to grow, we’re keeping an eye on upcoming developments and recently opened businesses.

Every time we look around, it seems like something new is popping up in Louisville. Whether you’re looking for your next go-to brunch destination or a new public park to stretch your legs, we’re rounding up a few things coming soon to Derby City.

The Last Refuge, 600 E. Market St. | Late April to early May 2024 | This whiskey bar will be a brand experience for Bob Dylan’s Heaven’s Door Whiskey .
Pursuit Spirits, 722 W. Main St. | Opening September 2024 | 6,500-sqft bourbon tasting room with food options + short-term rental property
Angel’s Envy Expansion, 500 E. Main St. | Opening TBA | Two-story facility featuring a skyway, space to create and test products, and more room for tours
Rabbit Hole Expansion, 711 E. Jefferson St. | Opening TBA | An expansion that will take up an entire city block, adding a gift shop, tasting rooms, a dedicated single-barrel tasting space, and an outdoor area

Louisville Visitor’s Center Renovation, 301 S. 4th St. | Opening Spring 2024 | Opening in time for the 150th Kentucky Derby, the new space promises to be an “immersive and authentic Louisville experience.”
Derby City Lofts, 440 W. Market St. | Opening 2024 | Four-story boutique hotel, featuring 20 units, with a ground-floor bourbon tasting room
Pickle & Social, 8100 Lyndon Park Lane | Opening fall 2024 | A 35,000-sqft entertainment venue featuring 12 pickleball courts, a restaurant + bar, and an outdoor green space

Waterfront Park Phase IV, 10th-14th Streets | Opening late 2024 | An expansion of Waterfront Park that will occupy 22 acres and four city blocks, an investment of $50 million
Norton West Louisville Hospital, 28th Street + Broadway | Opening November 2024 | The first new hospital built in Louisville’s West End in 150 years
UofL Engineering School, Eastern Parkway | Opening Fall 2025 | A four-story, 114,000 sqft space, featuring classrooms, a maker space, and high-tech lab facilities
UofL Health Sciences Simulation Center & Collaboration Hub, S. Preston St. | Opening TBD | A $280 million educational facility that will prepare skilled health care professionals for the workforce

Plant Kingdom, 1000 E. Market St. | A plant shop that recently moved from St. Matthews, offering trees, shrubs, perennials, houseplants, annual flowers, vegetable crops, and more
Paxton’s, 709 E. Market St. | A men’s boutique offering new fashions on a weekly basis
Matchset Pickleball + Tennis, Westport Village | A supply shop for those who love raquet-based sports
Painter’s Row, 1427 Lytle St. | An apartment building with ~100 units, featuring retail on the ground floor, built in old warehouses

Indoor mini-gold course with neon lights.

Each hole will feature an interactive, nostalgic game in addition to the mini-golf itself.
