The Hikes Point neighborhood will soon be home to a new affordable housing complex by LDG Development.

Midlane Point Apartments, a 321,547-sqft development with a $45 million price tag, will house 276 units spread across four, three-story buildings at 3042 Hikes Lane — formerly St. John Paul II Parish.

According to plans filed with the city, each building will contain 69 units, which will be oriented around a pool + 9,381-sqft clubhouse. Units will range from single to three-bedroom apartments and should be able to accommodate a maximum of 389 people.

LDG will develop the property with help from its contracting arm, Xpert Design and Construction . Louisville-based Studio A Architects will handle the architectural needs of the project.

While there’s currently no start date for construction to begin, the Midlane Point Apartments round out a busy year for the developer. Recently, LDG purchased the former Downtown Greyhound Station for $2.8 million, which it also could turn into affordable housing. The company also has a similar housing development underway in South Louisville, as well as a residential project in Prospect.
