Louisville has lots of bourbon + history, but the Whiskey Row Walking Tour distills all the info you need down to sip-sized portions.

The tour is given by professional tour guide and self-proclaimed “Bourbon Baron” Drew Shyrock. Along the two-hour tour, you’ll make stops at multiple distilleries + learn:

  • A history of bourbon whiskey production in Louisville
  • What qualifies a whiskey as a bourbon
  • The history of West Main Street’s cast iron storefronts
  • The story of several famous distillers, like Julian “Pappy” Van Winkle + Evan Williams

From March-October, tours run Thursday through Saturday at 11 a.m., and on Sunday at 1 p.m. They begin at the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Welcome Center, located at 829 W. Main St. inside the Frazier Museum, and finish at 1st + Main Streets. Tickets start at $79 per person.

Bonus: We’ve got 17 other Louisville tours you can try.
