The old fashioned is Louisville’s official cocktail, and Louisville Tourism’s Old Fashioned Fortnight won’t let you forget it. The 14-day-long event kicked off on Kentucky’s birthday, June 1, so if you missed the memo you’ve got some catching — or should we say, drinking — up to do. Here are a few festivities we’re looking forward to:

🥃 Create Your Own Candle at Maddox & Rose-Nulu | Available by appointment | Mix scents to fill your home with the smell of bourbon from a custom-created candle.

🥃 Barrels & Billets at Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory | Times vary
| Travel to the 1800s to taste, create, bottle, and name your own whiskey.

🥃 Craft Your Own Cocktail at The Frazier History Museum | Monday–Wednesday, 2 p.m. + Thursday–Saturday, 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. | Craft an old fashioned with the help of bourbon stewards.
