These improvements are part of the SDF Next Program, a capital improvement program for the Jerry E. Abramson Terminal that will see upwards of $500 million invested to provide a better customer experience.

The last thing you want to do after a flight is spend extra time waiting to get your bag. Luckily for Louisvillians, SDF is addressing that problem.

As passenger travel reaches record numbers, SDF is continuing to improve the terminal to provide best-in-class facilities. SDF’s complete overhaul of the airport’s baggage handling systems is expected to be fully operational just in time for post-Thanksgiving travel.

This $10 million project, which kicked off in May, includes a redesign of the baggage claim area with four modern, state-of-the-art carousels as well as the addition of an oversized bag drop. Explore the upgrades.
