Of 50 Kentucky companies who made Forbes’ third annual list of America’s Best Employers By State , 7 of them were Louisville-based.

Forbes partnered with market research company, Statista , to compile the list by surveying 80,000 Americans working for companies with at least 500 employees.

The surveys were anonymous + conducted between October 2020 and June 2021. The list ranks employers that received the most recommendations.

These 7 employers — from healthcare to education — were ranked the best in Louisville. Here’s how they ranked in the survey.

#2: Texas Roadhouse

Industry: Restaurants

Employees: 61,600

What they do: Dish out hand-cut steaks, made-from-scratch sides, + freshly baked rolls in a casual, roadhouse-themed dining atmosphere.

#4: Baptist Health (Kentucky)

Industry: Healthcare + Social

Employees: 22,500

What they do: A network of healthcare providers for patients in the Louisville Metro area including a 519-bed hospital.

Employees: 16,500
