The pickleball craze continues as a group of Louisvillian ladies bring international pickleball pros to E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park .
Janet Hayden and her three teammates — dubbed K4, as in the four Kentuckians — got the idea to create Bourbon City Pickleball Camp after attending a pickleball camp in Florida run by professional player Simone Jardim .
“She’s one of the top five players in the world,” Janet said. She added that the instructors leading the Louisville camp work with both Simone and Ben Johns , who is currently ranked the No. 1 international male pickleball player.
Though the camp is full, the public is welcome to watch all the pickleball action from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17 and Thursday, May 18 on courts 4, 5, 12, and 13.
