While Lights Under Louisville racks up awards, and Light Up Louisville is an annual Derby City holiday tradition, we know that Louisvillians don’t just leave it to the professionals.

Here are a few homes across town that went full Clark Griswold this year.

1249 S. Clay St.
This Shelby Park home designed by local DJ and laser artist Garrett Crabtree Jr. lights up in sync with holiday music, which you can hear by tuning your radio to 89.9 FM.

219 Blackburn Ave.
The displays at this Crescent Hill home aren’t just reserved for the holiday season — it goes all out year round, including for Halloween.

1542 Lincoln Hill Way
The residents at this home near Long Run Park have a name for the light show that covers their home: Louisville Aurora.

Windemere Place
There’s so many brightly lit homes in this neighborhood near the Oxmoor Country Club, we couldn’t pick just one. Explore 42 houses in the subdivision, each with their own approach to exterior illumination.
