Three Louisville non-profits you may not have heard of

With Give for Good Day upon us, these three causes are worth your support.

Last year, the LOUtoday crew volunteered preparing meals with the Ronald McDonald House.

Give for Good is a time to support the causes you care about in Derby City, but we know LOU loves to be extra charitable.

We’ve rounded up the Give for Good campaigns of three lesser-known nonprofits that are worth your support.

Be Like Mike | $1,000 goal
Founded in honor of the late Dr. Mike Presley, this nonprofit funds a medical school scholarship and gives back to Mike’s home community of Shively.

Blue Ridge Animal Rescue + Sanctuary | Ongoing campaign
Located in Goshen, this volunteer-run organization helps animals find the right home through targeted plans tailored to their unique situations.

More Than A Smile | $50,000 goal
This organization is dedicated to helping kids overcome systemic barriers to academic success through tutoring, mentorship, and mental health support.

We all know time is money. Do you know of an organization in need of volunteers? Let us know.
