Dwain Lee is back with a second book

This time last year, I interviewed architect-turned-minister-turned mystery novelist Dwain Lee to talk about his debut book “Plausible Deception.” Now, his second book is about to hit shelves.
Like the book before it, “Sinner’s Prayer” follows a fictionalized version of Lee and his husband George Yu, a world-renowned violin maker. The first book was about a violin heist, but the second details the fallout of human remains being found underneath protagonist Dan Randolph’s church.
For Lee, this book is a way to investigate his own feelings as a Presbyterian minister nearing retirement — “the endgame of ministry,” as he puts it. But the musical themes from the first novel are still around. Lee had musicians select a track for each chapter, creating a soundtrack for the book you can listen to as you read.
“Sinner’s Prayer” is available for preorder, and is slated to release Monday, April 6.
