439 million gallons. That’s how much sanitary and stormwater is kept out of Louisville area waterways by MSD’s Waterway Protection Tunnel. The 4-mile-long tunnel sits almost 220 feet under ground.

Homemade Ice Cream & Pie Kitchen is moving its St. Matthews location into the former Lonnie’s Taste of Chicago space, which closed earlier this year. The dessert shop’s Lexington Road shop will be closed after today while it makes the move, but other locations are open tomorrow starting at 12 p.m. for any New Year’s Day treat needs.
