Recently, we asked you to come up with a unique ice cream flavor that describes Louisville and utilizes one to three locally sourced ingredients. After reading all of your responses, it’s safe to say that our mouths are watering.

Here were some of our favorites:

“The Sorghum Slugger”

“The Triple Crown”
A waffle cone with salted caramel ice cream topped with chocolate bourbon truffles and caramel-dipped chicken sprinkles sourced by the Comfy Cow. - Mary S.

“Derby Delight”
A Derby pie crust filled with Muth’s Candies bourbon ball ice cream and topped with a mint julep leaf. - Candace W.

“Angel’s Compersion”
Angel’s Envy Rye ice cream mixed with chopped modjeskas from Muth’s Candies and topped with Bourbon Barrel Foods’ smoked curry peanuts. - Laurie G.

“Pawpaw with Bourbon Pecan Crunch”

“Louisville City [FC] Love”
Bourbon ice cream ribboned with fudge that’s sweetened with sorghum from Townsend Sorghum Mill. Top it with blackberries from Tower View Farm and a crumble made with hemp chocolate from Laura’s Mercantile. - Amy K.

The only thing we need now is a local ice cream shop to make one of these flavors a reality. Louisville Cream and The Comfy Cowwe’re looking at you.
