Hear ye, hear ye...

Kentucky Kingdom has made a decree — the amusement park is expanding to a “new land” with a multi-million dollar plan.

The new space will have a Kentucky-centric theme, celebrating the “beauty and spirit of the Bluegrass.”

Here’s what to know, by the numbers:

  • 3 — The number of new family-friendly rides
  • 10 — The number of existing rides that are being “re-themed”
  • 4,800 sqft — The size of a new playground being added as part of the expansion
  • 2 — The number of dining locations included in the project
  • $11 million — The total cost of the expansion

The new area will debut in May. It’s part of a two-year, $25 million investment ownership is making in the park.
