This week, I had a chance to visit the new upstairs space at Murray’s Creole Pub. It did not disappoint. Had the Maque Choux Risotto, which was delicious, but the cocktails + dessert were also to die for.
Here’s a pro tip: Whether you’re dining upstairs or down, pair the Creole Coffee — a warm chicory coffee cocktail — with one of the desserts. I had the set chocolate, though my wonderful server said it also pairs well with the sticky toffee pudding.
The risotto is topped with salty, smoky mushrooms that complement it perfectly.
