When DeShawn King and Isaiah Jones met at Louisville’s Central High School, they never thought they’d be cofounding a pharmacy in Louisville’s West End together. But now they, along with lead pharmacist Dr. Michaela Brooks, done exactly that.
Good Brothers Pharmacy, located on W. Market Street, is a full-service pharmacy and, as far as the founders know, Louisville’s first Black-owned pharmacy in at least 100 years. Here’s just a sample of the services they provide:
Prescription refills, including free delivery to your home or office
Retail items like first aid kits, vitamins, and over-the-counter medicine

This week, I visited the Muhammad Ali Center for the first time (I know, it’s long overdue). It’s an incredible museum, and if you’ve never made the trip it’s well worth it.
