Founded in 2022, Period, Y’all is a nonprofit dedicated to eliminating period poverty — that is, an inqeuality in access to menstrual products — around Kentucky.
I had a chance to chat with Period, Y’all founder Skylar Davis about what the organization does and what you can do to help.
Period, Y’all started as a table of supplies at a Louisville food shelf. Davis noticed how popular these items were, and decided she wanted to help. Now, Period, Y’all has three main initiatives.
“It’s so needed, and there’s not a lot of people doing this work,” she said. Here’s a quick look at Period, Y’all’s impact by the numbers.
