News Notes

Mansion Monday

For just $260,000, you could own your very own island off the coast of Maine. Or, if your budget is a little higher, take a look at this six bed, five bath house between Louisville and Mount Washington. (Realtor.com)
Do not try this at home. Storied rock climber Alex Honnold recently climbed the tallest skyscraper in Taiwan without ropes or a harness, and Netflix livestreamed the event. If he ever came to Derby City, we wonder which of our most iconic landmarks he would scale.

Sports

Super Bowl LX is locked in — the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will meet Sunday, Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium in the San Francisco Bay Area. Which Louisville sports bar is your go to for gameday? We’d like to know. (USA Today)

Health

It can be tough to find time to work out. Good news — a new study suggests that a couple of 30-45 minute sessions per week could be enough to make “very good gains.” If you’ve got the time, see which of Louisville’s gyms would suit your schedule. (NPR)

Travel

Southwest Airlines has officially ditched open seating in favor of assigned seats, ending a longtime hallmark of the brand. Love it or loathe it, it’s something to keep in mind when you book your next flight out of Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.

Sports

Get game coverage, analysis, insights, interviews, and more from local experts of the Louisville Cardinals with Locked On’s daily podcasts.

Jobs

Whether you’re a small business looking to grow your team or a large company filling a key role, our Job Board can connect you with engaged, qualified locals who are ready to work. Post your open roles + watch the applications roll in.

Number

$0. That’s how much 94% of Nourish patients pay out of pocket to talk to a dietitian covered by their insurance. You could be covered, too — check your coverage + get matched with a dietitian who can cut through the food noise and build you a plan to thrive.*

The Buy

FDA-approved GLP-1 medications for just a few dollars per day. If you’re tired of the Ozempic price tag and endless doctor’s appointments, opt for one of these top options — no insurance required + delivered directly to your door.

The Wrap

“To be or not to be?” They say that’s the question. If you’re seeking an answer, consider signing up for StageOne’s adult acting classes, where you’ll learn Shakespearean sonnets and how to perform them. The class starts on Wednesday, March 4 and runs through Wednesday, April 22. Registration is open now.
