Did you know there are ~25,000 castles in Germany? National Geographic rounded up their top 10, featuring hilltop views, medieval vibes, and stunning historical charm. Looking for a castle of your own? This Tucker Station estate is still on the market.
Cause
Earlier this month, we brought you a handful of ways to help your neighbors in need with donations of food. One LOUtoday reader reached out to let us know they’re collecting donations at their house to be distributed to local organizations. Feel free to bring your canned goods to 411 Blenheim Ct.
State
House Beautiful just named the most famous building in each US state, and The Kentucky Castle near Lexington took the title for Kentucky. Closer to home, Louisville has no shortage of stunning architecture and skyline staples. See for yourself by visiting Derby City’s most iconic landmarks.
Eat
Taco Bell is selling a Baja Blast-flavored pie this Thanksgiving. The drink’s signature tropical lime flavor has been turned into a filling on a graham cracker crust, topped with whipped cream. To each their own, but we prefer picking up seasonal desserts from Louisville’s small businesses like Wiltshire Pantry. (People)
Sports
What’s the opposite of a short king? Meet Oliver Rioux, the 7-ft, 9-inch teenager who recently became the tallest-ever college basketball player when he made his debut for the University of Florida. In Rioux’s honor, we recommend grabbing a tall latte from one of Louisville’s superb coffee shops. (The Guardian)
