Louisville Public Works’ Recycle Right team members are out and about to have a look at your recycing. If you see someone in a high vis vest checking out your bins, don’t be alarmed. They’ll leave behind a tag — think of it like a re-cycling re-port card. Here’s what the different tags mean:
Green means your bin has no visible contaminants.
Yellow means you have some work to do — a small amount of contaminants were found in your bin.
Red means your bin was very contaminated and won’t be collected.
Have a look at the list of contaminants — we’re talking plastic bags, food, and hazardous waste — to keep your bin clean and go for the green.

I love bringing you fun news and events all over Louisville, but sometimes we all have to do things that aren’t so fun — like going to the dentist.
Fortunately, I’m happy to continue keeping it local and recommend Modern Family Dentistry on Frankfort Avenue. It’s a small, two-person operation that has made me not hate getting my teeth cleaned on the regular. If you’ve been meaning to make an appointment, consider this your sign.
