Event Spotlight

Critters, creepy crawlies, and insects of all kinds will be on full display at Bernheim Forest’s BugFest this weekend. Here’s a sample of what you can expect:
  • An insect zoo where you can get up close and personal with local invertebrates
  • Bug safaris to find them in their natural habitats around the forest
  • A bug parade at 1:30 p.m. — bring your own costume or don one at the event
BugFest is free, with a $15 per car suggested donation, and runs 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Louisville’s peak fall foliage will likely fall around Monday, Oct. 27. That is, according to this interactive map, which also comes with a handy tool to report foliage colors to make future predictions more accurate.
