Calling all home design enthusiasts — your September just got busier.

Whether you’re in the market for a new home or someone who just loves home interiors (we’re guilty of the latter), you’ll want to mark your calendars for Homearama 2025.

This year’s event continues the new tradition that started last year. Instead of being held in one community, Louisvillians will be able to tour 27 new luxury custom-built + model homes located throughout the region.

Produced by the Building Industry Association of Greater Louisville (since 1968), the three-week-long event showcases the latest in building trends, technology + interior design. Here’s what to know before you go:

🗓️ Mark your calendars

The show will take place on Sept. 5-7, Sept. 12-14, and Sept. 19-21. The tour hours are:
  • Fridays: 5-8 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Sundays: 1-6 p.m.

🎟️ Grab tickets

Snag tickets online for $15 or pay $20 at the door (cash or Venmo only). Children 6 and under are free with a paying adult. Active and retired military enter free with an ID at the door.

Looking through all the premium book entries at the state fair can be overwhelming — let us be your guide.

This year, readers like you sent us their state fair submissions. See if you can find all four when you visit the East Hall.
  • A “grilling Santa” stocking, submitted by Katie J.
  • A “Greenhouse of Oddities” cross stitch, also by Katie J.
  • A note from Louisville Mayor Harvey Sloan, sent to the parents of Brian D. thanking them for their help in the wake of the 1974 tornadoes.
  • The cross stitch pictured above, submitted by Robin F.
If you find them all, drop us a line to let us know.

The Wrap

Last week, I asked you about your favorite local thrift stores and your best scores. Fleur de Flea was the stand out favorite with 44% of the vote. Here’s what reader Lyn D. found there:

“Book ends at Fleur de Flea, they say THE on one side and END on the other. Brass and wooden. So cute and vintage!”
