A total of 30 Kentucky companies landed on Inc. 5000’s list of the fastest growing companies in the countrythat’s the same number as last year.

Eight of these are based right here in Louisville, including one in the top 1,000 of the list.

The Inc. 5000 list ranks private companies according to percentage of revenue growth over a three-year period. The Louisville companies on the list this year have a median growth rate of 167%, and three of them were founded within the last three to four years. Let’s take a look at the companies that made the grade:

Coming Soon

Cinnaholic is coming to Louisville with its first Kentucky location later this month. The cinnamon roll spot will host a grand opening on Shelbyville Road in St. Matthews on Friday, Aug. 22. Bonus: All the rolls are plant-based and allergy friendly. (Courier Journal)

Seven Louisville hotels were named on the AAA list of Four Diamond hotels, including 21c and the Brown, which has been on the list since 1993. Vincenzo’s also landed a spot on the list of Four Diamond restaurants. (WHAS11)

History

You might know about the Kentucky Historical Society’s historical marker program, but did you know Louisville has its own historical markers? These mark locations with a particular historical significance to Louisville or Jefferson County. The period to submit new historical markers for next year closes on Monday, Sept. 1.
