Sauerbeck Family Drive-In
Current flicks, like “Lilo and Stitch,” “How to Train Your Dragon,” and “Jurassic World Rebirth” play most days, plus there are throwback features on Retro Wednesdays. The theater also offers online concession ordering — you can place an order days in advance to make day-of pickup easy breezy.
Downtown Drive-In
Bring a blanket or chair and watch movies projected via the Louisville Downtown Partnership’s CineBus. Snacks and refreshments are available from local vendors like Froggy’s Popcorn and Please + Thank You.

The hotel planned for the Henry Clay Building has been scrapped in favor of renovating the existing apartments + reopening the event center. Developer Weyland Ventures said it’s focusing on housing to meet a growing demand downtown. (Louisville Business First)

Badass Coffee of Hawaii, a coffee franchise originating on Hawaii’s Big Island, will come to Louisville early next year. The chain has 40+ locations nationwide, including two in Lexington. (WHAS11)
Theater
The 65th Kentucky Shakespeare in the Park festival began this week, and will run through August. Catch free performances of “Much Ado About Nothing,” “Hamlet,” and “Cymbeline” all summer long.
Cause
Free beer and snacks? Sounds like a plan. Sign up to help remove invasive species from along Beargrass Creek behind Trellis Brewing on Tuesday, June 3 at 9:30 a.m. All volunteers will receive a Trellis beer sample, a tour of the brewery, and snacks.
Community
The Camp Taylor Pool isn’t opening this year, but there will be family fun events in the neighborhood all summer to make up for it. The first is tonight, 5-8 p.m. at Camp Taylor Memorial Park with soccer, inflatables, and free popcorn.
Health
A new children’s cancer center will come to the Novak Center for Children’s Health downtown. The resource center will help pediatric cancer patients and their families with schooling, financing, and other challenges. Construction is set to begin this summer. (WHAS11)
