Hear ye, hear ye...

Kentucky Kingdom has made a decree — the amusement park is expanding to a “new land” with a multi-million dollar plan.

The new space will have a Kentucky-centric theme, celebrating the “beauty and spirit of the Bluegrass.”

Here’s what to know, by the numbers:
  • 3 | The number of new family-friendly rides
  • 10 | The number of existing rides that are being “re-themed”
  • 4,800 sqft | The size of a new playground being added as part of the expansion
  • 2 | The number of dining locations included in the project
  • $11 million | The total cost of the expansion
The new area will have debut in May. It’s part of a two-year, $25 million investment ownership is making in the park.

Fun Fact

Nouvelle Bar and Bottle is home to Kentucky’s only Champagne Master — that’s like a wine sommelier, but bubblier. It’s part of the reason the NuLu spot made the cut for Wine Enthusiast’s list of the “Best Champagne Bars in the US.” It was selected alongside another Louisville bar: The Champagnery.
