Is there anything that says, “fall” quite like a bubbling pot of hot chili, filling the air with its heart-warming, spicy aroma?
Louisville’s Great Chili Cook-Off is this weekend, where local restaurants and chili aficionados alike will compete to see whose bowl brings the most heat.
The Cook-Off is an annual tradition that dates to 1989, with proceeds benefiting Norton Children’s Hospital. This year, organizers have the goal of raising $10,000.
Pass the antacids. This year’s Cook-Off will be held in the NuLu Marketplace parking lot, due to construction, on Sunday, Oct. 13 from 12 to 6 p.m. Here’s a taste of what you can expect:
With the Chili Cook-Off this weekend, it’s time for an age-old Louisville question: When it comes to chili, do you include noodles? Let us know — and pour us a bowl while you’re at it, with oyster crackers please.
