Grab your clubs, LOU, we’re teeing off.
The Solheim Cup is coming to Louisville’s Valhalla Golf Club in 2028. The biennial — that’s every two years — has been held since 1990, and pits teams representing America + Europe against one another, in a match-play competition. Think: It’s similar to the Ryder Cup.
The 2028 Solheim Cup will be the first major women’s golf competition held at Valhalla. The 38-year old club has hosted several high profile men’s events, including:
The PGA Championship in 1996, 2000, 2014, and 2024
The Senior PGA Championship in 2004 + 2011
The Ryder Cup in 2008.
Fun fact: Valhalla will become one of just four venues worldwide to host both the Ryder Cup + Solheim Cup.
Tickets for the 2028 edition are not yet on sale, but you can sign up for the waitlist. For the 2024 Solheim Cup — being held Sept. 10 through Sept. 15 in Gainesville, VA — general admission tickets start at $101.

Louisville Metro Public Works keeps our residential + Central Business District roads clear of debris every year from March through November.
During this nine-month period, street sweepers roll out — weather permitting — to remove debris from gutters and roadsides that would otherwise end up in the storm drains, potentially causing water pollution.
The service tends to the roadways within the Urban Services District. So if that’s you, here’s what you need to know:
“No Parking” signs are hung before 12 p.m. a day before street sweeping will occur — which is between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Vehicles parked in no parking zones are subject to a citation or towing.
Residents are prohibited from blowing leaves onto a public street, so remember to bag those bad boys up.
