New high-tech mini golf experience coming to Louisville, KY

Puttshack, a new tech-infused mini golf experience, is opening in Oxmoor Center on Wednesday, March 20 at 4 p.m. It’s the latest concept from the co-founders of Flight Club, AceBounce, and Top Golf.
The immersive 25,000-sqft entertainment venue will have four nine-hole mini golf courses — prices range $9-$14 — that integrate the company’s patented technology, Trackaball™, which keeps track of your score while playing.
Puttshack will have two, upscale full-service bars with signature cocktails + more.

Here’s what else to expect from Puttshack:
Two full-service bars, serving cocktails like The Oxmoor Manhattan — Bulleit Bourbon, pecan bitters, sweet vermouth and cherry garnish — as well as local beers, like the Falls City Classic Pilsner
56-seat outdoor patio
Private event space
Interactive games at each hole like life-size beer pong, air hockey, roulette, connect four, and more
Dedicated DJ Booth
The Puttshack food menu will feature global fare — think: poutine, crab dip, and Korean BBQ bao buns — mixed with Kentucky classics, creating distinct flavors like Burgoo-inspired spring rolls filled with pulled pork + okra and lima beans served with Henry Bain’s sauce.
Puttshack will offer a family-friendly setting during the day, but that will shift to an “elevated nightlife” environment after 8 p.m. — only open those that are 21+.
The Derby City location will join 15+ other locationsaround the globe.

NuLu Marketplace to expand along Main Street

NuLuMarketplace — a 47,000-sqft mixed-use hub for restaurants, shops, and more — is set to expand, adding an adjoining three-story building to the property.
Noveen Holdings, LLC is behind the move. The expansion will be located on a vacant lot behind the NuLu Marketplace between Billy Goat Strut Alley and Main Street — and next door to Quills Coffee.
Mo Deljoo, Managing Director at Noveen, said that the plans include retail, a restaurant, and entertainment space on the first floor, as well as a potential rooftop bar. The other floors will include offices and short-term rental properties.
Revitalization of the Billy Goat Strut Alley are also included in the plans, but details are still to come.
Drawings will be submitted for review by the city this quarter, Deljoo said. Noveen intends to start the project by mid-summer, after financing is in place and a few tenants are on board.
A comfy fit to curl up in while it’s still sweatshirt and hoodie season. We love: this pink + lime crop by East of These and this Blue Ridge Parkway sweatshirt from Burlaep.
It was so much fun to see The Ville in action last summer at Freedom Hall. I know it brought back a lot of memories for local basketball fans.
Here’s some more good news we didn’t include in today’s News Notes: there’s also a Kentucky men’s basketball alumni team taking part in The Basketball Tournament, and the two sides could meet in the later rounds. A Dream Game in July? Dunk you very much.
