Time flies when you’re having fun, Derby City.And boy did we have fun in 20(twenty-woohoo). This year, we sent 200+ newsletters and posted around 700+ times on social media.

A new Korean steakhouse is coming to the Butchertown area. Chef Edward Lee plans to open Nami at 835 E. Main St. early next year. Look forward to both traditional and modern Korean cuisine including mandu (dumplings), Korean barbecue, and house-made kimchi. 🥟 (WDRB)

PriceWeber’s 40-ft nutcracker now has a name — Jingle GingerPants. Louisvillian, Vicki Robinson beat out over 1,200 entries in PriceWeber’s contest to name the nutcracker — which is made out of a decommissioned bell tower and has a moving jaw. 🥜

Did you know there are 492 National Historic Places in Jefferson County? Buildings, objects, sites, and city blocks all across Louisville are worthy of preservation. Contact your State Historic Preservation Office if you’ve got a tip on an unsurveyed historic place.

Get the confetti ready. Louisville made the top 100 of best cities to celebrate New Year’s. Derby City was ranked No. 16 based on criteria that considers everything from the amount of nightlife options to the price of a cab ride at the end of the night. 🥂 (WalletHub)

As we sit down to our laptops for the last time in 2022, it’s nice to reflect back on the year behind us and be thankful for all the great stories we were able to write.
