America’s birthday falls on a Tuesday this year — which means no long weekend — but that’s not gonna stop us from celebrating.

Here are four free ways to commemorate July 4 around LOU.

Independence Day Celebration: Summer on the Farm | Spend the holiday at Locust Grove from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for 19-century-style fun, like public readings of the Declaration of Independence.

Crescent Hill July 4th Festival | Enjoy an art fair and a children’s fun zone from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at this 38th-annual fest at the Peterson Dumesnil House.

Fourth of July Outdoor Artisan Market | Shop local artisans, designers + collectors at 731 Brent St. from 11 a.m. to 7 pm.

Waterfront Park Fourth of July | Head to the Great Lawn from 5 to 10 p.m. for food vendors, live music, and a fireworks show to end the night.
