Some call it “Blackout Wednesday,” to others it’s “Drinksgiving” — either way you say it, the night before Thanksgiving is one of the busiest of the year for bars and restaurants.

Whether you’re catching up with “long time, no see” friends, or escaping prying questions from your Aunt Bethany, here are a few places to go this evening across Derby City:

🥃 Even the Losers: A Tom Petty Tribute
Jam to songs from the late rock legend during this tribute show at the Whirling Tiger in Butchertown. Doors open at 8 p.m. and tickets are $15.

🥃 Drinksgiving Silent Disco
Rent a headset for $10 and boogie down at Shop Bar on Barret Avenue. Jay’s Burgers food truck will be out front from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. — or until they sell out.

🥃 Thanksgiving Eve Bash
Hear live music on four different stages at The Fox Den on Frankfort Avenue, starting at 9 p.m.
