Louisville Metro Government is helping Jefferson County homeowners harness the power of the sun — but you only have until Monday, July 31 to apply.

Solar Over Louisville — created in partnership with the Kentucky Solar Energy Society and the Louisville Sustainability Council — is giving Louisville-area residents access to discounted wholesale rates for solar installation.

Those in Jefferson, Oldham, Spencer, Shelby, and Bullitt counties — as well as Harrison, Floyd, and Clark in Indiana — can sign up. Both residential and small non-residential property owners are eligible, but non-residential properties will be only be included if the project is considered feasible within the campaign.

Here’s what program participants can expect:

  • A 30% tax credit through the federal Inflation Reduction Act.
