Green River Distilling Co. is joining downtown Louisville’s Whiskey Row next year with a 4,400-sqft tasting room

The Green River brand is owned by the Bardstown Bourbon Company, which opened a tasting room and retail shop in Louisville last year just down the street from the new Green River location. Fun fact: Over 100,000 guests have visited the tasting room since it opened.

Here’s a taste of what you can expect:

  • A horseshoe-shaped tasting and cocktail bar
  • A retail store, offering some limited-edition distillery exclusives
  • “Shoot the Shoe” — a game of skill using a Green River bottle as a goal
  • A lounge + performance stage
  • A speakeasy — Pro tip: You’ll be able to book it for private events
  • Artifacts + memorabilia from the brand’s nearly 150-year history

You can expect the new space to open by mid-2025.
