Derby fashion takes center stage at the Museum Ball

Derby fashion has been part of race day tradition for more than a century — and this spring, the Kentucky Derby Museum Ball celebrates that legacy.

Traditionally held the evening before Opening Night at Churchill Downs, this year’s event highlights the history and significance behind the hats, silhouettes, and statement looks that define Derby season.

The theme connects to the museum’s Derby Fashion exhibit, which showcases more than 150 pieces tracing back to the beginning days at the track in the 1870s.

Curious about the festivities? Here’s how to get involved.

Go all in

All-Inclusive Ball tickets include cocktails beginning at 6 p.m. in the Paddock Club, a plated dinner and dessert, cocktail stations, live entertainment, and complimentary valet.

Arrive when the party peaks

The Backstretch Afterparty begins at 9 p.m. with cocktails, live music and dancing, late-night bites, and guests dressed in their best Derby style.

Grab tickets while you can to join this celebration of tradition and history.
