Next weekend, Wetherby Park and the surrounding area will host the 53rd annual Middletown Family Fun Fest. Here’s what you can expect at this year’s festivities:
Live music on two stages, including tributes to The Beatles + Huey Lewis — groovy.

A dog show starting Saturday, Sept. 6 at 10 a.m.
A firework show finale at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.
If you’re planning on being in the Middletown area, be prepared for street closures + detours on Old Main Street.

Norae Bar will also close after five years in business. The NuLu karaoke bar’s last night will be Sunday, Oct. 19 after the building was sold to new owners. (WHAS11)
Plan Ahead
The 2025 Louisville Pride Festival — not to be confused with the Kentuckiana Pride Festival in June — will be on Saturday, Sept. 6 on Bardstown Road. Expect music on two stages, vendors, and plenty of food and drink.
Traffic
After pausing for the Louisville Ironman marathon, work on River Road will resume after Labor Day Weekend as the Louisville Water Company performs maintenance on pipes. The road will not fully close, and businesses will remain open throughout the project. (WHAS11)

Speaking of road work... Construction is set to begin this week on I-264 near Brownsboro Road. Expect rolling roadblocks near the Watterson I-71 interchange, plus lane reductions on Brownsboro Road. (WHAS11)
